The Lourdes Shrine in London
The Lourdes Shrine (London) was having extensive decorative restoration, and it was decided the main Caen Stone shrine needed brightening up and repairing. Again, St Bernadette's arm was being tugged at, and Virgin's Rosary beads were going missing one by one. The arm was restored and given a stainless steel core with epoxy resin, while new Rosary beads were shaped from Caen stone and epoxy-resin-glued in place. Most of the foliage and rock had been toned down when first installed hundred years ago, and the Friars requested that the detail be picked out once again.
